Draft for review. Bracketed items identify details that remain to be confirmed before publication.
Sawvia is operated by [legal company name and address] (“Sawvia,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you use our website, search for products, submit video links, place orders through our service, or contact us.
Sawvia helps users identify products and arrange purchases from third-party sellers. This policy covers our handling of personal information. Sellers, payment providers, and other third parties may also process information under their own privacy policies, depending on their role.
1. Information We Collect
Account and preferences
We collect your email address and information needed to manage your account and sign-in sessions. We also keep records of applicable terms, privacy choices, and consents.
Orders and delivery
We collect information needed to arrange and support your orders, including the purchaser’s or recipient’s name, phone number, shipping address, selected products, seller details, amounts, order identifiers, delivery and tracking information, and relevant cancellation, return, refund, or dispute information.
If you provide another person’s delivery details, you should have an appropriate basis to provide that information and make this policy available to them where appropriate.
Payments
PayPal processes payments. We receive payment confirmations and transaction information needed to verify payment, reconcile orders, issue refunds, and handle disputes. Depending on the transaction, this may include a transaction identifier, payment status, amount, and payer or shipping information. PayPal does not provide us with your full payment card number through our PayPal checkout.
Submitted links and content
We collect TikTok links you submit and process relevant video content, frames, product details, and analysis results to identify products and potential sellers. Submitted or publicly available content may itself contain personal information, including faces, usernames, or other identifying material.
Please avoid submitting private or sensitive information that is not needed for product discovery.
Communications
We collect information you provide when you contact us, including your contact details, messages, and information needed to respond to your request.
Technical and essential service information
Our systems and service providers may process technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as IP addresses, browser or device information, session information, access records, and cookie preferences. This is separate from the optional analytics described below.
Optional usage information
If you select Accept all, we collect optional usage and advertising attribution information, such as a browser-generated identifier, events including viewing a video or starting checkout, and campaign or click identifiers in the link used to reach our website, including UTM parameters, ttclid, fbclid, and gclid.
Section 5 explains how these choices relate to Sawvia’s analytics and embedded third-party content.
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information, as relevant to the service you request, to:
- Create and manage your account and authenticate access.
- Analyze submitted content, identify products, and find potential sellers.
- Arrange purchases, coordinate delivery, and send order updates.
- Save delivery details and prefill checkout when you use saved information.
- Handle inquiries, returns, refunds, chargebacks, and disputes.
- Maintain the service, investigate errors, prevent abuse and fraud, and protect security.
- Understand use of videos, product discovery features, and advertising campaigns through optional analytics.
- Keep appropriate records of transactions, terms, and privacy choices.
- Meet applicable legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
Where a legal basis is required, we rely on the basis applicable to the particular activity, such as processing necessary to enter into or perform a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, consent, or another basis permitted by applicable law. A basis for collecting or using information does not automatically authorize disclosure to a third party or an international transfer.
This policy does not itself replace any consent or separate notice required by law.
3. When We Disclose Information
Sellers and delivery providers
We share the recipient’s name, shipping address, phone number, and relevant order details with the sellers and delivery providers involved in your order, to the extent necessary to place, fulfill, deliver, return, or support that order.
Where your email address is needed for these purposes, we may share it on a lawful basis.
Where a seller independently determines how personal information is processed, the seller is responsible for that processing under its own privacy policy and applicable law. This does not limit Sawvia’s obligations concerning its collection, disclosure, or other processing of your information.
[Seller-specific information and privacy notices: insert the location where users can identify the seller and other relevant recipients for their order.]
Operational service providers
We use external providers to perform functions needed to run the service. Information disclosed depends on the function involved.
| Provider | Function and relevant information |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Account authentication and database services, including relevant account, order, and service records. |
| Resend | Email delivery, including email addresses and message content needed for the relevant service communications. |
| Railway and Vercel | Application hosting and infrastructure, including relevant service data and technical information processed by the hosted systems. |
| Anthropic | Video and product analysis, as explained in Section 4. |
Providers processing personal information on our behalf are subject to the contractual, confidentiality, security, and oversight requirements applicable to that processing. Their responsibilities are determined by their actual role and applicable law.
PayPal
We exchange information with PayPal as needed to process payments, issue refunds, prevent payment fraud, and address payment disputes. PayPal may also process information independently for its own legal and operational purposes under its privacy policy.
Embedded TikTok content
TikTok may receive information directly from your browser when its embedded player loads or is used. Section 5 explains this processing and the limits of Sawvia’s cookie controls.
Legal obligations, requests, and protection of rights
We may disclose personal information to courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other competent authorities where disclosure is required or otherwise permitted by applicable law, including in response to legally valid requests, orders, or legal process.
Where there is a lawful basis, we may also disclose information as necessary to address fraud or security incidents, protect safety, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Disclosures are limited to information reasonably necessary for the relevant legal purpose.
Other disclosures
If a proposed disclosure requires your consent or additional notice, we obtain that consent or provide that notice as required by applicable law.
4. AI-Assisted Video and Product Analysis
We use Anthropic’s services to help analyze submitted videos and product information and identify potential sellers. Information submitted for this purpose may include video content, individual frames, and related product information.
We do not intentionally include your Sawvia account email address, order contact details, shipping address, or payment information in requests sent solely for video and product analysis. However, videos and related material may themselves contain personal information, such as faces, usernames, or other identifying content.
Anthropic’s processing and retention are governed by the terms, settings, and data-handling arrangements applicable to the service we use, together with applicable law. Its retention of submitted information may differ from Sawvia’s retention of temporary analysis files.
Using our product discovery service does not, by itself, authorize unrelated uses of your personal information. Any use for a materially different purpose, including model training where applicable, requires an appropriate legal basis and any notice or consent required by law.
[AI training disclosure: confirm whether submitted content or analysis results are used for model training by Sawvia or an external provider, and describe any applicable choices.]
5. Cookies, Browser Storage, and Third-Party Content
Essential storage
We use essential cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in, save your cart, remember your cookie choice, and support the operation and security of the service.
Optional analytics
We collect the optional usage and advertising attribution information described in Section 1 only if you select Accept all. Selecting Essential only declines that optional collection by Sawvia.
You can change your choice using the Cookies link at the bottom of the home page. Changing your choice applies to future optional collection and does not automatically erase information previously collected lawfully.
Embedded TikTok videos
Videos are displayed through TikTok’s embedded player. When the player loads or is used, TikTok may collect technical and usage information and use its own cookies or similar technologies under its privacy policy.
This processing may occur independently of your choice about Sawvia’s optional analytics, including when you select Essential only. Sawvia’s cookie controls do not, by themselves, control TikTok’s independent processing. This distinction does not remove any consent or other requirements that apply to the loading or use of third-party content.
Browser settings and privacy signals
Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies and limit some forms of tracking. Blocking essential storage may affect sign-in, cart, or other service functions.
[Browser privacy signals: confirm and describe the service’s response to Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control, and other applicable opt-out signals.]
6. International Processing and Transfers
We are based in South Korea and use service providers located mainly in the United States. Personal information may be processed, accessed, or stored outside your state or country.
[Database location and other processing countries: to be confirmed.]
We use the notices, consents, contractual arrangements, and safeguards required by applicable law for international processing. We establish the appropriate legal basis for each transfer, taking account of whether the recipient processes information on our behalf or independently. We obtain separate consent where required.
Our detailed transfer information identifies:
- The recipient’s legal name, role, and contact information.
- The destination country or countries.
- The information transferred and the recipient’s purpose.
- When the transfer occurs and how the information is transmitted or accessed.
- The recipient’s retention period.
- The legal basis for the transfer.
- Any applicable method of refusal or withdrawal and its effect on the requested service.
[International transfer schedule for the relevant sellers, delivery providers, PayPal, Supabase, Resend, Railway, Vercel, and Anthropic: to be completed using the actual processing arrangements.]
Where you decline or withdraw consent that is necessary for a particular transfer, we may be unable to provide the affected feature or process the affected order. Any such consequence will be explained where required.
7. How Long We Keep Information
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purposes described in this policy and as required or otherwise lawfully permitted for legal, accounting, security, and dispute-resolution purposes.
Different types of records may have different retention periods.
| Record category | Retention approach |
|---|---|
| Account information | Retained while needed to operate the account, subject to applicable deletion requests and lawful retention requirements. [Specific period or criteria: to be confirmed.] |
| Saved shipping details | Available in your account until removed. Removing saved details does not necessarily remove corresponding information from order records retained for a separate lawful purpose. |
| Order, payment, refund, and dispute records | Retained according to applicable recordkeeping obligations and necessary dispute handling. [Periods and legal grounds: to be confirmed.] |
| Customer support records | Retained for the relevant support and dispute-handling purposes. [Period: to be confirmed.] |
| Submitted links and analysis results | Retained according to the applicable product-discovery and service purposes. [Period: to be confirmed.] |
| Temporary video files and frames | Deleted under the procedures applicable to temporary analysis materials. [Deletion timing and any relevant exceptions: to be confirmed.] |
| Technical, security, consent, and optional analytics records | Retained according to their respective purposes and applicable requirements. [Periods: to be confirmed.] |
When retention is no longer necessary and no legal basis requires or permits further retention, we delete or irreversibly anonymize the information, as permitted by applicable law.
[Deletion procedures and methods, including any relevant backup or cache schedules: to be confirmed.]
Deletion from Sawvia’s systems does not necessarily mean that an independent third party deletes its records at the same time. Where a provider processes information on our behalf, we address deletion and retention through the applicable service arrangements and legal requirements. This does not limit our obligations under applicable law.
8. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
You can change or remove saved details in My account. You can also contact us at [support email] about your personal information.
Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have rights to:
- Request access to or a copy of your personal information.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Request deletion.
- Restrict, object to, or request suspension of certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.
- Receive information in a portable format, where applicable.
- Opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising, where applicable.
- Exercise other rights provided by applicable law.
Where permitted and appropriate to the type of request, we may take reasonable steps to verify your identity or the authority of someone acting for you. We respond within the periods required by applicable law.
Some requests are subject to legal exceptions. For example, we may need to retain transaction records or information required for an unresolved claim, legal obligation, or other lawful purpose. Where required, we explain a limitation or refusal and any available review or appeal process.
We do not discriminate against you for exercising rights protected by applicable law. Withdrawing a consent needed for a particular feature may prevent us from continuing to provide that feature.
U.S. state rights and advertising disclosures
We do not disclose personal information in exchange for monetary payment. Some privacy laws define a “sale” more broadly or separately regulate sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising or other targeted advertising. Where those laws apply to our activities, we provide the disclosures and choices they require.
[U.S. state disclosures: confirm applicable laws, whether any advertising-related disclosures constitute a sale or sharing under those laws, and the required request, opt-out, authorized-agent, and appeal procedures.]
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the personal information we process and the risks involved.
No method of internet transmission or electronic storage can guarantee complete security. This statement does not exclude or limit any security, incident-response, notification, or other obligation we have under applicable law.
[Describe the security measures actually implemented, without disclosing details that would compromise their effectiveness.]
10. Children
Sawvia is intended for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a person under 18 has provided personal information to us, contact [support email]. We will review the information and take the steps required by applicable law, which may include deleting it or restricting further processing.
11. Third-Party Websites and Services
Our service may link to or display content from third-party sellers, TikTok, payment providers, or other websites and services.
Where those parties collect or process information independently, their own privacy policies and legal obligations apply. Review their policies before providing information directly to them. This section does not limit Sawvia’s responsibility for its own processing or for processing carried out on its behalf where applicable law imposes that responsibility.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our service, processing activities, or legal requirements. We will publish the revised policy and update the date shown above.
For material changes, we provide any additional notice and obtain any consent required by applicable law. Changes do not override consent requirements or rights that apply to information previously collected.
